Development of an Implementation Plan for Adolescent and Young People’s Health and Development (AYPHD)

WHO; 2019 – 2021
In contributing to the development of the Adolescents and Young People (AYP) in Nigeria, the World Health Organization (WHO) contracted Preston Associates for International Development (PAID) to collaborate with key stakeholders in developing the Adolescent and Young People’s Health and Development (AYPHD) Implementation Plan.
This plan is designed to improve and promote the optimal health and development of Adolescents and Young People (AYP). It cuts across twelve (12) thematic areas which include policy recommendations, implementation objectives, operational level, key interventions, responsible actors, budget source, threats, indicators, baseline, and target performance, desired outputs, and outcomes. The timeline for this Implementation Plan is Q1 2019 to Q4 2021.
Preston Associates partnered with the relevant stakeholders, between 2019 and 2020, to develop and revise the Implementation Plan in line with the National policy on the health and development of adolescents and young people in Nigeria: 2020-2024.
