Technical and Managerial Capacity Assessment of National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) Routine Immunization Staff

CHAI; 2015
The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), a health agency under the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) is responsible for providing leadership that supports the promotion and implementation of high quality and sustainable primary health care delivery, through resource mobilization, partnerships, collaboration, development of community-based systems and functional infrastructure. However, the agency’s ability to provide effective oversight, as articulated within the NHA (2014) depends on the technical and managerial capacity of its staff.
In 2015, Preston Associates for International Development (PAID) was contracted by Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), to conduct an assessment of Routine Immunization (RI) staff of NPHCDA at National level. The aim of the project was to detect gaps among staff and provide recommendations for staff capacity development.
