Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of all in-country projects in line with client’s requirements and
Preston Associates quality standards. - Lead the overall implementation, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and supervision of all
in-country project activities in accordance with the project requirement. - Provide direction, leadership, and management oversight in developing and implementing
programs, projects, and strategies at the country level. - Proactively source for business opportunities and contribute to in-country proposal
writing and technical reports in line with bilateral and multilateral organizations and other
major funders standards in ensuring Preston Associates quality control and quality
assurance standards. - Maintain working relationships with business partners, clients, organizations, relevant
government agencies and other key stakeholders in-country. - Support knowledge management to create a knowledge management strategy and
framework for the in-country operation. - Leverage existing platforms to support and advance knowledge-sharing in the country.
Requirements
- At least a master’s degree in public health, public policy, demography, statistics,
international development, environmental science, social sciences or other related field
and experience. - Minimum of 7 years of experience with tangible results in one or more of the following
development sectors: health, agriculture, education, technology, gender,
environment/climate change, and governance. - Minimum of 7 years of experience with demonstrated results in research, program
monitoring and evaluation, project management, and technical writing. - Operational experience with multilateral (EU, World Bank, IMF, UN, EDF etc.), bilateral
organizations (USAID, FCDO, CIDA etc.) and other major funders e.g., Bill and Melinda
Gates Foundation, MasterCard Foundation, etc. - Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative research, analysis, implementation
research approaches, management information systems, data visualization and reporting - Must be fluent in English or French or Portuguese (Two languages will be an added
advantage). - Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with great
attention to detail. - Excellent networking, teamwork, and stakeholder relationship management skills in public
and private settings. - Proactive, self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated use of Advanced Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, R, Stata, (for quantitative
analysts) Nvivo, ATLAS.ti (for qualitative analysts) and database management tools.
