Preston Associates is experienced in conducting fair and objective assessments of Implementing Partner (IP) Organizations’ performance on behalf of funding agencies. Our MEL/TPM processes enable us to ascertain the extent to which these programmes are aligned with IP’s logical frameworks and theories of change, as well as the degree of progress towards achieving set and agreed targets. We are frequently required to verify and validate performance data provided by Implementing Partners. These activities have included Value for Money assessments that enabled our clients to determine how economy, effectiveness, efficiency, and equity were factored into programme implementation and procurement. The evidence we generate informs programme governance initiatives, such as programme reengineering, resource reallocation, changes in project scope and breadth, amongst others.
Our MEL/TPM services include desk review, fieldwork coordination, tool development and scripting, computer-assisted data capture, robust data analysis and reporting. We have demonstrable expertise in the use of NVivo, ATLAS.ti, SPSS, Stata, and other analytical and data collection software such as SurveyCTO, CS-Pro, ODK, Redcap, and also utilize cutting-edge analytical software to generate robust evidence and Geo-spatial analysis is conducted using tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS, among others. In ensuring data integrity and quality, all our projects are conducted in alignment with global best practices. And because ethics are important to us, all our staff (including core staff, sector expert consultants and data collectors) have undergone safeguarding training. In addition, our Nigeria-based core staff are certified by the National Health Research Ethics Committee (similar to the global International Review Board certificate).
